How do I order an item?

Enter quantity and click on the “Add to Cart” button under the product you wish to order. Proceed to the checkout and enter your personal information in each ordering screen. When filling in your personal information, please be sure to enter your email address so we can contact you with any questions about your order. Please fill out a complete billing address, fill out shipping address if different from billing address.

How do I know I will receive my order?

Once you place an order you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that we have received your order.

How do I know the full amount of my item including taxes?

The full amount of your purchase will be given to you at the end of your order. Both provincial (for Ontario) and federal taxes are applied to the total cost (of Canadian orders) plus shipping and handling charges. US customers must pick an appropriate shipping method.

How can I pay for my order?

We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express. We do not offer C.O.D. If you would like to pay by international money order, please mail it to: The Guild of Automotive Restorers, Attn: Online Order Dept. P.O. Box 1150, 44 Bridge St, Bradford, ON L3Z 2B5 Canada, along with a printable order form found at checkout. We do not accept personal cheques. If you are not comfortable entering your credit card number online, you can place your order by telephone as well. Please call 905-775-0499 or toll free 1-866-775-0499. (If ordering from outside of Canada, the credit card Bank Name and 1-800 phone number on the back of the credit card MUST accompany the order to be processed.)

What happens if my credit card is not approved?

If for any reason your credit card is not approved we will contact you to verify your personal information. You can also switch your order to a different credit card at that time.

Do you sell my credit card information or purchase history to anyone?

No, we do not sell any credit or purchase information. Please see our Privacy Policy for additional information.

Is my order secure?

Yes. The Guild of Automotive Restorers processes orders on a Dedicated IP Address. Our website is on a server with an Internet Protocol (IP) address which tells the world where our server is located. Taking credit cards (and conducting e-commerce) must be run on an IP address that is unique to our website (a “dedicated IP address”).
This dedicated IP address is used only by our domain name and website, so we can provide you a secure connection with a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate.
Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate. This is the lock and key system for our online store. You know you are in a secure Internet connection when you see the little lock on your browser (in some cases your browser’s address bar may also turn green). Our online store has put in an SSL certificate which essentially is a secured communication channel, encrypting the information over the Internet so that information cannot be stolen or misused. This system provides a comfort level to you that your personal information, such as credit card numbers, is not at risk of being stolen. Our SSL certificate changes your browser from http:// to https://, indicating that the you are in a secure connection.

What delivery options do I have?

We offer FedEx Ground, and Canada Post Xpresspost for Canadian orders, and U.S. Airmail and U.S. Xpresspost for the United States. For items that can fit into an envelope (patches, catalogue) we will ship by regular mail. Please see our Shipping page for further information.

Where do you ship to?

We ship within Canada and the USA. We do require a physical street number and address, no Rural Routes or post office boxes. FedEx also requires a signature for delivery.

What if the item I ordered is broken or defective?

Please return the item(s) to us with the enclosed return form for an exchange or refund within 30 days. Please see our Return Policy page for further information.

What if I want to cancel my order?

Orders are shipped out within 1-2 business days and cannot be cancelled once they have been shipped. You may return the order upon receiving it at your expense with the enclosed return form.
